Dementia Awareness
A Dementia Friends Training event will be held on 15thJanuary 2020 at the Lansdowne Hall, Derry Hill at 7.30pm. Those that live or work in the Parish are invited to attend this event hosted and attended by the Parish Council as part of its move towards becoming a Dementia Friendly organisation. The session, lasting about an hour, delivered by Diane Gooch from the Calne Dementia Action Alliance, aims to improve understanding and awareness of those in our community that live with dementia. So, whether you have friends, relatives or neighbours coping with the disease, would find the knowledge helpful in your work or volunteering or are just interested in finding out more you are most welcome to attend. The event is free but the Council asks that you contact the Clerk, Sarah Glen on 01249815621 or email clerk@calnewithout-pc.gov.uk to register your interest so that we have an idea of numbers.
