Calne Without Parish Council did not have enough people stand for election to fill all 15 seats at the May elections and now has 8 vacancies for new Councillors. These are to be filled through a process known as co-option.
The Parish is split into 5 Wards and there are vacancies in 4 of them.
West Ward which covers Derry Hill and Studley has 2 vacancies
Sandy Lane which covers the village and its surrounds has 1 vacancy
Middle Ward which covers Mile Elm, Broads Green, Stockley, Blacklands and the Cherhill View development on Stockley Lane has 3 vacancies.
East Ward which covers Calstone and Lower Compton and High Penn has 2 vacancies.
