The Parish Council continues to seek answers from Wiltshire Council about the Toucan Crossing on the A4 at Studley, which is still not operational.

The Parish Council first wrote to Wiltshire Cllr Toby Sturgis in November 2018 after the first residents moved into the Crest development in Studley before the Toucan Crossing, and other works which had been required as part of the planning permission, had been completed. Cllr Sturgis’ reply to the Council raised more questions which were put in another letter to Cllr Sturgis in December 2018. The Council still awaits a reply to that letter.

Despite emails to the then Wiltshire Council Chair, Cllr Bucknell and most recently the Leader of Wiltshire Council, Baroness Jane Scott the Parish Council is still to receive a response from Cllr Sturgis. The email received from Baroness Scott on the 10th June 2019 can be viewed by clicking here. The Parish Council has responded to the email by letter today, 11th June 2019 the letter can viewed by clicking here. The Parish Council’s original letter to Wiltshire Council, Cllr Toby Sturgis’ reply, and the Council’s response to that reply are all available to view in the website document library.
