Urgent Closure of: Freeth Farm Road To Lower End Farm Via Compton Bassett (Part), Compton

WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 14 September 2021, the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Wessex Water to carry out urgent repair of a mains leak.
Freeth Farm Road To Lower End Farm Via Compton Bassett (Part), Compton Bassett; from the road outside Cedar House for approximately 50m in a South Westerly direction.
Alternative route: via Freeth Farm Road To Lower End Farm Via Compton Bassett (Unaffected length), The Breach South East To Turning For Compton Bassett, A3102 South East To The Breach, A3102, A4, Quemerford, Atcherly Road North Then North East C15 To Spreckley Road, Junction With Spreckley Road Northeast To Junction With Marsh Lane, Marsh Lane North C15 To Turning For Compton Bassett, Freeth Farm Road To Lower End Farm Via Compton Bassett (Unaffected length)
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
These works will commence on 14 September 2021 and are anticipated to be required for 3 days. This Notice will have a maximum duration of 5 days.
